Prof Jacob Mwitwa on behalf of Kapasa_Makasa_University, delighted to join forces with 751.Africa to increase food resilience in Zambia. WHEREAS 751.Africa has originated and substantially developed the African Food Security Centre of Excellence concept for Zambia ("AFSCoE-Zambia"), including its technical design, curriculum architecture, implementation approach and associated project-development materials. With the Project intended to strengthen climate-resilient agriculture, food security, practical agricultural education, youth agripreneurship and rural employment through university-anchored training and production centres in Zambia. The Kapasa_Makasa_University possess the relevant academic, technical, institutional and local capabilities and intends to participate as an implementing partner and host one of the Centers of Excellence institution for Project activities in Muchinga Province. The new working farm campuses will transform the way in which Agricultural practices can embrace modern technology and adapt to changing climatic conditions. Prof Mwitwa stated that, ''our students will know how to diversify, understand climatic patterns and implement regenerative farming methods. . . .we will create new and exciting real livelihood opportunities whist feeding our Nation and hopefully providing a bread basket for other Nations both in Africa and beyond''.
